Creating and modifying subsectors

Introduction

On this page, you can create, modify, or delete subsectors. Subsectors are used to further group sectors of external parties (for example customers and suppliers) into the specific business segments.

Roles and rights

To create, modify, or delete subsectors, function right 305 – Maintain sectors and subsectors is required. By default, users with the Customer manager role have this function right.

Note:

  • For more details on function rights, go to System ? Setup ? Security ? Function rights.
  • For more details on roles, go to System ? Setup ? Security ? Roles.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 240 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I create subsectors?

  1. On the page, click New.
  2. Under the Subsector section, type a code for the subsector at Code.
  3. Type a description for the subsector at Description.
  4. Click Save.

Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon is mandatory.

How do I modify subsectors?

  1. On the page, click the hyperlink of the corresponding subsector under the Code column to be modified.
  2. Make the necessary changes.
  3. Click Save.

How do I delete subsectors?

  1. On the page, click the hyperlink of the corresponding subsector under the Code column to be deleted.
  2. Click Delete. A message "Confirm: Delete?" will be displayed.
  3. Click OK.
